When grinding spindle cavities, we recently encountered a requirement to measure the clamping force.

This measurement is important to verify the safe condition of the clamping mechanism.

Machine manufacturers use a large number of clamping bolts. If this measurement is important to you, you need to verify that we have a usable bolt available.

From 2024, we will carry out this measurement with a new Kelch measuring device.

Now we can test DIN69871/DIN2080 SK40 and SK50 clamping.

ALNICO NG

We have developed and offer a replacement for ALNICO 01 and ALNICO 11 centrifugal switches

The replacement is created using an ARDUINO microcontroller and inductive switches.

The Alnico NG housing is made of aluminum with bearings and has the same dimensions and mounting as the original part.

electronics control four relays and have galvanically isolated outputs with LED indication, so they can be connected to older machines without modifications to the wiring. Power supply 230VAC.

Last installation of CNC ECS UNO901 on machine WFQ80. The machine was equipped with ball screws and can work with a spindle speed of 2200 rpm.

The original feed drives from MEZ Brno are used on the machine. The spindle drive is equipped with a Nidec Mentor MP inverter.

The customer replaced the balancing with a hydraulic piston for pulleys and ropes.

The whole machine was designed with regard to the maximum use of existing mechanics and electronics. It is thus a very cheap CNC machine with a relatively large working space.

In the background, you can see WHN9CNC also with the Uno901 system.

After the replacement of the CNC system was completed, the REVER drives were tuned. At a rapid traverse of 5000 mm / min, the machine moves with an error of approx. ± 0.04 mm.

It has been agreed to achieve the highest possible accuracy geometry adjustment and measurement according to the manufacturer's protocol.

Despite its age, the machine shows a larger error only in the perpendicularity of the Y-axis guide to the spindle and in the throw of the conical cavity.

After evaluating the measurement results, it was decided that both machines would undergo grinding of spindle cavities. The WFQ80CNC has an ISO50 and WHN9CNC ISO 40 cavity.

The grinder we use can grind both types of cavities.

Operator training was only formal because the operator uses the same system on the WHN9CNC.

Support from us consists mainly in remote diagnostics and support in programming part programs. ECS uses a powerful superstructure over ISO code suitable for workshop programming.
