The machine can be modernized and evaluated either as a rectangular or as a continuously controlled machine.
In both cases, it is necessary to consider the geometric condition of the machine and decide to what extent it is satisfactory. Individual groups as well as the entire machine should be disassembled, grinded and scraped to restore accuracy.
In any case, it is advisable to replace the lubrication unit and lubrication lines, to overhaul or replace the hydraulic unit and its lines. Replace guide cover. Depending on the drives used, overhaul the motors or replace them and adjust their mounting. If the machine is continuously controlled, only ball screws and motors must be used for each axis separately.
The price is greatly affected by the new wiring. You can try to make the most of existing equipment after risk assessment, but the choice of control system provides room for price reduction.
We offer the installation of cnc ECS, the prices of which are significantly lower than those of Heidenhain, Fanuc or Siemens controllers. Using the Ethercat protocol and components available on the domestic market from independent companies (Nidec, Baumueller), we can continue to work with the price.
The position loop is controlled by means of linear and rotary encoders, because with machines of this size and load capacity it is not possible to use only measuring from the motor. By using sensors from ESSA, for example, the price can again be significantly reduced. We use a non-contact stainless steel sensor from Renishaw to measure the B axis.
After installation, we offer support in service and programming, which is enabled by the integration of TEAMVIEWER software into the CNC environment.
For rectangular applications, we use a Beckhoff PLC, which also has a connection via TEAMVIEWER. Lower demands on machine dynamics allow you to make the most of existing components.
In the basic version, Beckhoff provides ready-made libraries for position loop control. We have already finished our own modules for positioning directly from the PLC. This variant has lower dynamics, but allows you to overcome the problems associated with clearance in the gears and on the bolts.
For modernized machines, the value of the machine can be further increased by using the functions of newer machines, such as increased speed to 2500 rpm or through spindle cavity cooling.
